Our Testing Lab
Non-Destructive Testing. Reliable Fault Detection.
Whether you need feasibility studies, small series testing, or one-off component analysis – we offer cost-effective solutions for outsourced inspections or internal testing gaps.

Our Location
At our headquarters in Leinfelden-Echterdingen near Stuttgart, we offer:
- Test laboratories for thermography and photothermal radiometry (OTvis / PTvis, ITvis, LTvis, UTvis)
- In-house software and hardware development including system integration
- Certified testing according to EN ISO 9712
OTvis / PTvis Testing Lab
Precise inspection of carbon fiber structures and other components – either in the edevis test laboratory or directly on-site at the customer’s location.
Typical applications: aircraft and helicopter components, monocoques, add-on parts, bicycle frames, and more.

ITvis Testing Lab
Induction thermography for the non-destructive detection of cracks, welds, and solder joints.
Ideal for series production, quality control, and the analysis of safety-critical components.
LTvis Testing Lab
Laser thermography for the inspection of coatings, EHT testing, and the detection of grinding burn and cracks.
Suitable for components with high quality requirements and demanding surfaces.

UTvis Testing Lab
Ultrasound thermography for crack testing of non-metallic components as well as geometrically complex metallic parts (e.g., cast components).
Provides deep insights into the material structure without damaging the test piece.
Are you unsure whether your application is feasible?
We test your components in our lab to determine if it’s suitable for your application – as a feasibility study, series testing, or single-part analysis.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions – Quick and Clear Answers
Are the edevis inspectors certified and according to which standards is testing carried out?
Yes, our inspectors are certified according to EN ISO 9712 (formerly EN 473). We work according to recognised standards of non-destructive testing and use state-of-the-art automated and manual testing technology.
find out moreWhat advantages does testing in the thermography test lab offer?
Our inspections are non-destructive, fast, image-based and require no special sample preparation. They allow comprehensive defect analysis without interrupting production – ideal for series testing, quality assurance and research & development.
find out moreWhat is the process of an inspection in the edevis test lab?
First we discuss your requirements and choose the appropriate method. This is followed by a feasibility study or preliminary investigation and, if necessary, a small series test. You will receive a detailed test report – if desired, we also carry out tests directly on your premises.
find out moreWhich components can be tested in the test lab?
We test, among others, aircraft and helicopter components, monocoques, CFRP/GFRP structures, bicycle frames, attachments as well as metallic cast parts and welded joints. By combining various thermography methods, complex and coated geometries can also be tested.
find out moreWhich testing methods does the edevis test lab offer?
Our test lab offers a wide range of active thermography methods: optical lock-in thermography (OTvis), pulse thermography (PTvis), induction thermography (ITvis), ultrasonic thermography (UTvis), as well as laser and passive thermography. These non-destructive testing methods enable fast, cost-efficient analysis of components, materials and workpieces.
